This webinar, Emerging Cell and Gene Therapy Approaches for Knee Osteoarthritis, will provide participants with an up-to-date overview of how advanced cell and gene therapy (CGT) modalities are being developed to address unmet clinical needs in knee osteoarthritis. The program integrates scientific, translational, and clinical perspectives to highlight emerging disease-modifying strategies beyond conventional symptomatic treatments.By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to understand the biological rationale for CGT in knee osteoarthritis, including mechanisms related to cartilage degeneration, inflammation, and impaired tissue repair; compare emerging cell-based platforms, such as mesenchymal stromal cells, iPSC-derived products, and extracellular vesicles, with respect to mechanism of action and translational potential; and recognize key gene therapy strategies being explored for local joint delivery. Participants will also gain insight into critical manufacturing, clinical trial, and regulatory considerations that influence the development, evaluation, and future adoption of CGT-based therapies for knee osteoarthritis.
