Dear Valued Industry Community Members,

As we are nearly halfway through 2018, we wanted to thank you for your involvement in ISCT’s largest ever industry member community and reflect on our YTD accomplishments.

Strategies for Commercialization Track

For those involved with the Strategies for Commercialization (SFC) Track planning for 2018, thank you and congratulations! Special thank you to Bill Milligan for leading the planning Committee and to Simon Ellison, Chair of Session 1 – Future Proofing your Supply Chain for developing this session summary for the benefit of, and use by, the broader industry community.

Join the 2019 SFC Track Subcommittee and have your say in the sessions that are planned for the 2019 Annual Meeting Program in Melbourne! Bill Milligan will once again be leading the planning committee for a successful program. 2018 Industry Networking Reception

As always, the Industry Networking Reception in Montreal was a celebratory evening with our largest annual gathering of industry members and key Society stakeholders. It was great to see so many familiar faces and we hope you enjoyed the evening!

Largest Exhibit Floor to Date

Thank you to many of you for your support in making ISCT 2018 the largest exhibit floor to date with 107 exhibiting companies! The launch of the Product Theatres was also a huge success for 2018.

New ISCT Logo

For those that were not able to attend the ISCT 2018 Montreal Annual Meeting, you’ll have missed the unveiling of the new ISCT logo which reflects the broadened Society scope. ISCT is now doing business as ISCT, International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy.

Commercialization Signature Series – January 22, 2018 in Miami, Florida

ISCT Patron and Partner member companies gathered in Miami on the Pre-Conference Day of Phacilitate Cell and Gene Therapy World to discuss ‘Addressing Translational Manufacturing Viability in Cell Therapy’.

A summary of the event was captured by Elisa Manzotti, BioInsights and can be found online here.

Planning is underway for the 2019 Commercialization Signature Series on Market Access which will once again take place in Miami pre-Phacilitate in January. Patron and Partner members interested in helping plan the program should contact madeline@isctglobal.org.

Commercialization Committee Guest Speaker Series

A new initiative for the Commercialization Committee in 2018 was the creation of a quarterly Guest Speaker Series. Thank you to our inaugural speakers Colin Novick,CJ Partners (Japan), Kunihiko Suzuki FIRM/MEDINET (Japan) and Bryan Choi, GSRAC (Korea).

Two more guest speakers on relevant topics will be secured for 2018 at the request of CC members. Have a speaker you would like to hear? Let Brian know (brian@isctglobal.org).

Phacilitate Trade Mission Navigating Asia – Road to Melbourne with ISCT

ISCT has partnered with the Phacilitate Trade Mission Navigating Asia to provide multiple touch points with Asia Pacific partners as we prepare to do business at ISCT 2019 Melbourne - our Asia Pacific Annual Meeting.

Bill Milligan will be speaking on behalf of ISCT June 26 in Seoul, Korea and June 28 in Tokyo, Japan.

ISCT Europe 2018 Regional Meeting in Florence, Italy

For those in the EU, we look forward to seeing you in Florence, September 12-14 for the ISCT EU 2018 Regional Meeting where over 300 cell and gene therapy professionals from across Europe will be in attendance. More information can be found on the meeting website.

ISCT Committees

The Process and Product Development (PPD) Subcommittee is developing a webinar series on cell therapy process development and working on the second COGs roadmap white paper (the first white paper, A roadmap for cost-of-goods planning to guide economic production of cell therapy products was published in Dec 2017 Cytotherapy by the former Business Models & COGs subcommittee).

The Business Models & Investment (BM&I) Subcommittee is working on their second webinar in a series on Partnering in Japan and is also collaborating with Bloomberg on an Investor survey to gain an understanding of investor perspectives of the CGT industry.

The Market Access and Patient Advocacy (MAPA) Subcommittee will be largely focused on the 2019 Signature Series planning and are planning to kick off a second white paper on patient advocacy. They are also actively recruiting new members so contact madeline@isctglobal.org if interested in participating.
