Dear ISCT Members,
ISCT is a global society of clinicians, regulators, technologists, and industry partners with a shared vision to translate cellular therapy into safe and effective therapies to improve patients' lives. ISCT offers a unique collaboration between academia, regulatory bodies, and industry partners in cell therapy translation.
In view of the recent shootings at Parkland High School in Florida, as well as other schools and less well publicized tragedies, ISCT feels compelled to share its deepest regret and sorrow, and reiterate its sympathy and feelings to the family and friends of the victims and those that lived through the ordeal.
While ISCT does not comment on matters outside its mission as stated above, as scientists, clinicians, and health professionals, we recognize that the scope and frequency of these tragedies are a threat to public health. We urge ISCT members to take positions consistent with individual conscience to exercise support for measures to stem the epidemic of firearm violence.
